报告题目:Solid state hydrogen storage materials for hydrogen energy

Abstract
Hydrogen energy is important to achieve the national goal of carbon neutral. Hydrogen storage technology is crucial for the development of hydrogen energy. Here, solid state hydrogen storage materials, including pyrolysis and hydrolysis ones, have been developed with high hydrogen storage density, high safety, and long-term storage properties. Hydrogen channels have been built inside pyrolysis hydrogen storage materials to lower the dehydrogenation temperature of MgH2 to be as low as 185℃ with good cycling performance. Highly active light metal hydrides were adopted as hydrolysis hydrogen storage materials with hydrogen storage density as high as 25wt.%, where graphene was introduced to coat parallelly on the surface of hydride crystals to adjust their hydrolysis kinetics. The hydrolysis was found to be realized as low as -40℃. A serial of hydrogen batteries based on solid-state hydrogen storage materials have been developed and adopted in sightseeing bus. Different scale of production lines has been built and tested.

Biography
Jinying Zhang, received her Master degree from Tsinghua University and PhD from Oxford University. She was working as a postdoctoral fellow from 2009 to 2012 in Nogoya University, Japan. She works as a PI in Xi’an Jiaotong Unviersity since 2013. Her research interests are the development of carbon/phosphorus new allotropes and their applications. She is mainly focusing on the applications of violet phosphorene in optical and electronic research fields, and graphene in solid state hydrogen storage materials.
