讲座摘要:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the design, operation, and lifecycle management of power electronic systems. Compared with many other engineering domains, however, the adoption of AI in power electronics remains challenging due to limited high-quality data, strong physical constraints, diverse operating conditions, and stringent reliability requirements. These unique characteristics call for AI methods that are not only accurate, but also data-efficient, physics-aware, and trustworthy.
This tutorial presents a systematic overview of recent advances in AI for reliable power electronics, covering the complete workflow from converter design to health management and future intelligent systems. It begins by introducing the distinctive challenges of applying AI to power electronics and the emerging paradigm of data-efficient learning. Representative case studies are then presented, including active-learning-assisted converter design, surrogate modeling, thermal and reliability modeling, degradation assessment, condition monitoring, digital twins, and uncertainty-aware diagnosis. Building upon these developments, the tutorial discusses recent progress in self-supervised learning, foundation models, and generative AI, highlighting their potential to enable transferable knowledge across different devices, converters, and operating conditions. Finally, practical issues including model validation, physics consistency, interpretability, industrial deployment, and future research opportunities will be discussed. The tutorial aims to provide both researchers and practicing engineers with a structured understanding of how AI can be translated into reliable and deployable solutions for next-generation power electronics.
